Hi, I’m Jake.

I’m a photographer and filmmaker interested in how people live, work and move through the world.

For most of my career I’ve worked with brands and organisations, creating lifestyle and documentary-led imagery grounded in real places. I’ve photographed motorcycle launches in remote landscapes, followed makers in their workshops, and spent time documenting the people and environments behind a brand.

What interests me most, though, isn’t the spectacle, it’s the moments that sit around it. The atmosphere of a place, the rhythm of someone’s day, the small details that often go unnoticed.

That way of working carries through everything I do. Whether I’m filming a short brand documentary or spending time with a family at home, the approach is the same: slow down, observe carefully, and let real moments unfold.

Outside of work I’m a husband and a dad, which has changed the way I think about time and memory. It’s made me more aware of how quickly the ordinary parts of life pass. The routines, the places, the sounds of a house when children are small.

I’m based in the UK and work with brands, publications and families on projects that value honest storytelling and a thoughtful approach to image-making.

My Approach

My work tends to begin with curiosity. I like spending time in a place, getting a feel for the people and the small details that shape a story. Rather than over-directing, I try to work lightly and let moments unfold naturally. Whether I’m working with a brand or documenting family life, the aim is the same. Honest images that feel true to the moment they were made.

Simple ideas

The best stories are often the simplest ones. A person, a place, and a moment that feels real. I try to keep things uncomplicated and let the atmosphere of a place speak for itself.

Lasting impact

Photographs and films become more valuable with time. My aim is always to create work that people can return to years later and still recognise something honest about that moment.
